MAR 15-APR14. Spring — it HAS sprung, right? Well some days. And to celebrate all things springy, our next gallery group show is 'ReAwakening' and it is definitely going to live up to the title. All of us will have new works, we are welcoming two new artists to the family, and we plan on reveling in the longer and warmer days. Opening reception March 15, 6-9p and First Friday April 5, 6-9p. MAR 26-JUN 22. Blue and green. Together. When I was pre-teen, our mom wallpapered the bedroom that I shared with Natalie with a blue/green flower motif. That color combo currently resides in my skin and bones. It made a huge impact and I've always wondered about that wallpaper and the design. Recently and out of no where, Natalie sent me a picture from 1972 and that wallpaper is right there, in the background. And now it is commemorated in three paintings called 1514 Central. One of which is in this lovely blue/green show at Framed Image. (another is at NKollectiv!) Go check out all the gorgeous blue and green combos at this wonderful frame shop!

MAY 10-JUN 2. The full title of this show is '360 Degrees — Looking at the Last Year' and the piece that was juried in is one of my all-time favorites. I made three pieces with this motif, all different, but all based on wallpaper in the bedroom I shared with one of my sisters (in one of the many houses we lived in!) and still influences me today. In fact, see 'See Green / See Blue' above! I will be at the opening artist reception on May 10 from 5-9. I hope you can swing by!

MAY 17-JUN 9. This is THE show to see encaustic. This is the show where we turn the entire gallery over to encaustic artists — the three of us that are regular members of NKollectiv and all sorts of encaustic pals. I am working on my piece for this show early so I hopefully look good in this bee-centric company!

FIRST FRIDAYS / EVERY MONTH (also thirds). There are a lot of First Friday options out there, but the Art District on Santa Fe is one of the best and worth devoting a Friday night for fun, food, strolling, and art! And because First Fridays are so great, Third Fridays are a thing too! So twice a month, the entire district goes into fun mode. Come check out the neighborhood!
